Welcome to Reception

Miss Terry Reception Teacher

I love teaching in Early Years and watching each child blossom over the course of the year. I have worked at Greave since qualifying as a teacher however, I have been part of ‘Team Greave’ for much longer because this was my primary school when I was a little girl!

I really enjoy teaching phonics and am the phonics lead at Greave. I enjoy seeing children develop their skills over the year and having those ‘wow’ moments, especially when children begin to read and write independently!

Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my friends and family. I like to go on holiday, and particularly love to go skiing in the Winter!

Mr Ellis Year 1 Teacher

Having the opportunity to embark on my qualified teaching journey in reception at Greave (the best school ever) fills me with great excitement and I cannot wait to bring all the wonderful children along for the adventure.

I am super excited to witness each and every one of them achieve amazing and brilliant things during their early years of school life within my classroom!

Outside of school, I live with my gorgeous family (not biased, obviously) which consists of my wife and two daughters, Matilda and Hazel; the driving force behind my desire to enter the exciting world of teaching.

We love nothing more than enjoying time together on our allotment, growing lots of fabulous flowers, fruits and vegetables. We are a very arty family and often get messy with crafting and baking.
